Meeting Time: 8:00pm

Topics of Discussion:
- We received our budget items earlier this semester
- Chad was curious if people were interested in some club projects over the
weekend
- Phil has the Ardino in his room
- Some people are interested in playing with it over the weekend?
- Community Service
- The requirements were NOT for this semester...they were for Fall of 2009
- BOINC
- VTC3 well over 11 million credits
- Looks like all labs have been ghosted to run Rosetta@home when not used
- Green 111 computer lab
- We should try to dual boot the lab computers with Ubuntu and
Windows XP Pro
- XP pro would be default, but GRUB could run for a brief timeframe (2-3sec)
- We can try to experiment with Linux on Active Directory (see if it works)
- Next meeting location
- Studio Council Room
- Tuesdays would be a better day for all present members @ 7pm
- Week after break would be another club meeting
- Windows 7
- Forest reports that Windows 7 works really well on ancient hardware
- ATI open-source drivers are less than desired for the video card hardware
